Tornado strikes Racine County

October 26, 2010 By WRN Contributor

National Weather Service personnel will determine the strength of what is confirmed as a tornado in Racine County. The Villages of Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant were hit Tuesday morning with a confirmed tornado off a fast moving storm system. Power was lost at several major businesses, including the Case tractor plant, Wal-Mart and Menards and the immediate area, with power lines and trees, and even some buildings down. Racine County Emergency Management Coordinator David Maack indicated it may be a few million dollars worth of damage.
