UW-Whitewater captures WIAC opener

Top-ranked UW-Whitewater opened conference play by rolling to a 49-17 win over UW-Platteville on Thursday night in Platteville.

The Warhawks (4-0) ran the NCAA’s longest current win streak to 19-games.  Levell Coppage rushed for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  QB Matt Blanchard also threw for 337 yards and three scores.
