Badger women win exhibition opener

The Wisconsin women’s basketball team rolled past NCAA Division II Winona State 82-53 in their first exhibition game of the season at the Kohl Center.  Senior Tara Steinbauer led the Badgers with a double-double
(15 pts. 10 rebs) including 6 of 8 shooting from the field.

The Badgers shot 54.7% from the field (29 of 53), and they out-rebounded the Warriors 41-23.

Wisconsin wraps up exhibition play on Sunday against in-state NCAA Division III UW-Superior on Sunday (1:30pm) at the Kohl Center.
