Badgers’ White is named Big Ten’s Freshman of the Week

November 15, 2010 By Bill Scott

Wisconsin Badger freshman running back James White rushed for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 83-20 win over Indiana on Saturday.

With reigning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year John Clay out with injury, White averaged 7.6 yards per attempt to produce his third game of 100 or more rushing yards.  White has now rushed for 714 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season.

This is White’s third Freshman of the Week honor this season after being honored on Sept. 27 and Oct. 4.
