Brewers have two Silver Sluggers

November 12, 2010 By Bill Scott

2010 Silver Slugger awards were handed out on Thursday.  The Silver Slugger award winners were determined by a vote of Major League Baseball coaches and managers who named the players they felt were the best offensive producers at each position in both the American and National Leagues in 2010.

The Milwaukee Brewers had two players make the grade in the National League.

Outfielder Ryan Braun was honored for a third straight season.  Braun led Brewers starters with a .304 batting average.

Yovani Gallardo made the list for the very first time.  Gallardo led Major League pitchers with four home runs and finished with a .254 batting average and 10 runs batted in.
