Gilman captures Division 7 football championship

Gilman captured its third WIAA State football championship, winning the Division 7 title on Thursday, 42-13 over Burlington Catholic Central at Camp Randall Stadium.

Gilman (13-1) got 218 rushing yards and four touchdowns from Cody Rosemeyer and the Pirates out-gained Catholic Central 438 to 208.

The Hilltoppers helped Gilman’s cause by committing four turnovers.
