Kendricks is named Mackey Semifinalist

November 16, 2010 By Bill Scott

Wisconsin Badger senior tight end Lance Kendricks has been named one of 8 semifinalists for the John Mackey Award, given annually to the nation’s top tight end.

Kendricks has a team leading 31 receptions for 473 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns.

No Badger has ever won the Mackey Award, though Travis Beckum was a semifinalist in 2006 and a finalist in 2007.

The Badgers are getting ready for Saturday’s Big Ten road game against the Michigan Wolverines.
