Packers head to Atlanta Sunday

November 26, 2010 By Bill Scott

When you think of the hardest places to play in the NFL Atlanta is not the city that rolls off your tongue.  It should be.

Since Matt Ryan took over as the starting QB of the Falcons (8-2) in 2008, Atlanta is 18-1 at the Georgia Dome in games he has started.  This season the Falcons are the only NFC team still unbeaten (5-0) at home.  Ryan says he is not focused on the numbers:

The Packers (7-3) are on of 5-teams right on the heels of the Falcons for the best record in the NFC.  This is the 26th all-time meeting between the franchises with Green Bay holding a 13-12 lead (1-1 in playoff games).

The teams last meet in 2008 at Lambeau with the Falcons winning 27-24.  The Packers won in their last trip to Atlanta 33-25 back in 2005.   Sunday’s kick is Noon.
