Packers release DE Montgomery

November 3, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Packers have released DE Michael Montgomery on Tuesday, possibly opening the door for the team to activate either safety Atari Bigby or defensive back Al Harris from the physically unable to perform list.

The Packers have until Monday to make a decision on Bigby, Harris and RB James Starks.  Then they’ll have three options:  Activate, release or place on season ending injured reserve.
