UWGB women rough up the Badgers

November 19, 2010 By Bill Scott

The UW-Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball team served notice on Thursday night, that they may just be the best Division 1 women’s team in the state at the moment.

The Phoenix forced 24 Wisconsin turnovers and throttled the Badgers 69-43 at the Kress Events Center.

Celeste Hoewisch scored 22 points to lead the Phoenix, who shot 47% from the field and hit 7 of 11 three-pointers.

Lin Zastrow had 18 points to lead the Badgers in the loss.
