Wisconsin’s Fenelus earns Big Ten honos

November 9, 2010 By Bill Scott

Wisconsin junior defensive back Antonio Fenelus has been named the Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

It’s the second time Fenelus has been honored by the Big Ten in his career.  He also received Special Teams Player of the Week honors as a freshman in 2008 when he forced a fumble that resulted in a safety on a kickoff against Minnesota.

In Wisconsin’s 34-13 win over Purdue on Saturday, Fenelus matched a career high with nine tackles, returned an interception for a touchdown and recovered a fumble.  The interception is his team-leading third interception of the season.
