Badger women fall to 5th ranked Duke

December 3, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Wisconsin women’s basketball team fell to 5th ranked Duke 59-51, in the women’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge.  It gave the ACC the Challenge victory, 6 games to 5.

Sophomore Taylor Wurtz led the Badgers with a game-high 19 points, including a season-high four 3-pointers.

The Badgers ‘ biggest flaw was on the glass.  The Blue Devils pulled down 45 rebounds to Wisconsin’s 30.  Duke hit the Badgers hardest on the offensive boards, out-rebounding Wisconsin 20-6.

The Badgers return to the court on Sunday with a road game at Oklahoma State.
