Rodgers cleared to practice

December 22, 2010 By Bill Scott

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been cleared by the Packers medical staff to practice, one major step closer to being able to play Sunday when the Packers face the New York Giants at Lambeau Field.

Rodgers string of 46 straight games started ended last week after he suffered his second concussion.

Rodgers quarterback rating of 98.5 ranks fourth in the NFL.  He’s thrown for 3,289 yards and 23 touchdowns.

The Packers need to win Sunday to keep their Wild Card playoff hopes alive.
