Tolzien named Unitas winner

December 7, 2010 By Bill Scott

After throwing for 23-hundred yards and 16 touchdowns, Wisconsin‘s 5th year senior quarterback Scott Tolzien has been named the 2010 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner, given annually to the nation’s top senior college quarterback.

Tolzien, 21-4 as a starter in two seasons in Madison, helped the Badgers to a share of its first Big Ten Conference title since 1999.  The Badgers finished the season 11-1 with a trip to the 2011 Rose Bowl against unbeaten TCU.

Tolzien enters the Rose Bowl No. 1 in the nation in completion percentage (74.3%).
