Badger women earn comeback win

January 21, 2011 By Bill Scott

After trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, the Wisconsin women’s basketball team outscored Minnesota 41-19 in the second half to knock off Minnesota  71-63 on Thursday night.

The win at Williams Arena marks the second-biggest comeback in Badger women’s basketball program history and moves the Badgers into second place in the Big Ten.

Alyssa Karel and Lin Zastrow scored 21 points each, the first time this season that two separate Badgers have gone over 20 points in scoring.
