Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema filled out his Badger coaching staff by
promoting current assistant’s Chris Ash and Charlie Partridge to co-defensive coordinators and hiring Dave Huxtable, most recently the defensive coordinator at UCF, to coach linebackers.
Partridge and Ash were college teammates at Drake and on the same coaching staff there in 1996-97. Ash and Partridge take over for Dave Doeren who took the Northern Illinois head coaching job following the season.
Partridge is entering his fourth season at Wisconsin after spending the last three years as UW’s defensive line coach. Ash is starting his second year at UW. He coached the Badgers secondary last season.
Huxtable spent the last seven seasons at UCF, the last three as the Golden Knights defensive coordinator. He has 29 years of college coaching experience.
