Bishop gets four more years (AUDIO)

January 5, 2011 By Bill Scott

How good has Desmond Bishop been this season?  The Green Bay Packers linebacker didn’t take over as a starter until week 5 when Nick Barnett was lost for the season with a wrist injury, yet he still finished the regular season second on the team with 121 tackles (82 solo) and he added 3 sacks.  He also returned an interception for a touchdown.

Bishop gets a 4-year deal worth $19-million, which keeps him in a Packers uniform through the 2014 season.  It took Bishop awhile, but once he finally got an extended opportunity, he didn’t disappoint.
