Wisconsin high school football is losing another one of it’s top coaches. After 25-years, 19 as a head coach, Steve Jorgensen has resigned his coaching position at Kimberly, effective immediately.
Jorgensen was the head coach at Oshkosh North for 12 years before taking over as head coach at Kimberly for the past 7 years. He coached three teams to state championships, one at North and two at Kimberly. He also coached his Kimberly team to a state runner-up finish as well, and was twice named the Wisconsin State Football Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2008.
Jorgensen’s career head coaching record is 152-58. He led teams to the playoffs seven straight years at Oshkosh North while going to the playoffs six out of seven years at Kimberly.
