Marquette’s upset bid falls short (AUDIO)

The Marquette Golden Eagles failed again to protect a lead and lost to 5th ranked Connecticut 76-68 at the Bradley Center on Tuesday night. 

The Huskies leading scorer, Kemba Walker, missed his first five shots and finished with just 14-points, but Marquette forward Jimmy Butler found out that U-Conn is more than just Kemba Walker.

Jeremy Lamb had a career-best 24 points to lead the Huskies.  Butler said they didn’t stick to their defensive principles and U-Conn made them pay.

Butler had 21 points to lead Marquette, which fell t0 4-4 in Big East.
