Packers clinch playoff spot with win over Bears

January 2, 2011 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Packers held on to beat the Chicago Bears 10-3 to secure the 6th and final spot in the NFC playoffs.

The Packers go-ahead score came on a 1-yard TD pass from Aaron Rodgers to tight end Donald Lee.

The Bears put a final drive together in the final two-plus minutes, but Jay Cutler’s late pass attempt was intercepted by safety Nick Collins to seal the win for the Packers.

Green Bay will open the playoffs next week at Philadelphia with the date and time to be announced soon.
