Weeks looking to continue negotiations

January 31, 2011 By Bill Scott

Rickie Weeks says he wants to continue talking with the Milwaukee Brewers about a long-term contract extension, but only until spring training begins.  The second baseman said yesterday that he’ll tell his agent to stop negotiating a new contract once he reports for spring training to focus on baseball and the upcoming season.

Bush to Texas

Former Brewers’ pitcher Dave Bush has agreed to a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers with an invite to spring training.   Bush went 8-13 with a 4.54 ERA in 32 games for the Brewers last season.
