Badgers avoid upset, despite poor shooting night

February 10, 2011 By Bill Scott

The 13th ranked Wisconsin Badgers avoided upset, getting by the Iowa Hawkeyes 62-59 in overtime last night.

Jon Leuer scored 19 points and Jordan Taylor 16 for the Badgers (18-5, 8-3 Big Ten) who now look ahead to Saturday’s matchup with top ranked and unbeaten Ohio State (24-0, 11-0).

Wisconsin shot just 18% in the first half but trailed by only 5 points at the break.  The Badgers converted 51% in the second half and have now won 6 of their last 7 games.
