Badgers short at practice on Monday

February 22, 2011 By Bill Scott

Wisconsin basketball coach Bo Ryan had two players missing from practice on Monday.

Senior forward Keaton Nankivil hurt his right ankle in Sunday’s win over Penn State.  Nankivil was wearing a protective walking boot on Monday but vowed to practice today and play Wednesday at Michigan.

Sophomore forward Mike Bruesewitz was sidelined on Monday by illness but is expected to make the trip to Ann Arbor on Wednesday.

Michigan has won 6 of their last 8 games and on the NCAA Tournament bubble at present time.  Badger coach Bo Ryan said the difference for the Wolverines has been their ability to close games.
