Pointers capture WIAC regular season title

UW-Stevens Point captured the WIAC men’s basketball title outright, beating La Crosse 79-71. 

The defending division III National Champs are the No. 1 seed in the WIAC Tournament and will get a first round bye. 

Two first round games are on tap on Tuesday night, Superior at Whitewater and Platteville visits La Crosse.

The Pointers will open conference tournament action on Thursday.
