Badgers finish 4th at Big Ten wrestling meet

Penn State won the Big Ten wrestling team title over the weekend, totalling 139 points.  Iowa took second with 138 points.  Minnesota placed third at 109.5 and Wisconsin 4th with 103.5 points.

Wisconsin’s Andrew Howe became a 3-time Big Ten Champion at 165 lbs., the first Badger to achieve the feat since Donny Pritzlaff garnered three Big Ten titles from 1999-2001.

Trevor Brandvold became a 2-time Big Ten Champion at 197 lbs.

Tyler Graff (133 lbs), Cole Schmitt (149 lbs), Andrew Howe (165 lbs), Ben Jordan (174 lbs), Travis Rutt (184 lbs), Trevor Brandvold (197 lbs) and Eric Bugenhagen (Hwt.) each automatically qualified for the 2011 NCAA Wrestling Championships.
