Badgers open Big Ten Tournament tonight

March 11, 2011 By Bill Scott

The 13th ranked Wisconsin Badgers open Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal play tonight against Penn State in Indianapolis.  The Nittany Lions advanced with a 61-55 win over Indiana on Thursday night.

The Badgers are coming off a 28-point loss at the hands of top ranked Ohio State, but Wisconsin forward Jon Leuer said they don’t dwell on the last game.

Wisconsin is hoping to go deeper in this tournament than they did last year.  In the 2010 Tournament, Wisconsin was bounced in the quarterfinals by Illinois by 4-points, shooting just 28% from the field.
