Badgers set to open season on a Thursday night

According to reports, the University of Wisconsin is set to open the 2011 football season with a Thursday night game on ESPN.

The Badgers are set to play UNLV on Sept. 3 at Camp Randall Stadium but officials from the two schools had reportedly agreed to move the game to Sept. 1.

The Badgers beat UNLV 41-21 to open the 2010 season in Las Vegas.
