Billionaire Johnson charged in child sexual assault

March 24, 2011 By WRN Contributor

Johnson Wax heir Samuel Curtis Johnson III, who recently left his position as Chairman of Racine based Diversey, Incorporated, has been charged with the repeated sexual assault of a child. The billionaire son of the late Samuel Johnson appeared in Racine County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon, where he was accused of assaulting a now 15 year-old girl as many as 15 to 20 times. Johnson was released on a $500,000 bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim or any other minor female unless in the presence of another adult. Citing only personal reasons, Johnson recently took a leave of absence at Diversey, a former Johnson Wax subsidiary, with his sister, Helen Johnson Leopold, taking his place. The Racine County Sheriff’s Department investigated the allegations.
