Infielder Casey McGehee was hoping to sign a multi-year contract with the Brewers, but the two sides couldn’t come to terms and instead, settled on a one year deal.
McGehee became the final player on the 40-man roster to sign a contract. He’s eligible for salary arbitration after the upcoming season.
McGehee is still hoping the two sides can workout a multi-year deal in the future. He said there’s no hard feelings.
McGehee promptly went out and delivered 3 hits, including 2 home runs and 4 rbi’s in the Brewers 12-5 win over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday. The Brewers face the Oakland A’s today.
