Super Tuesday a super mess

March 24, 2011 By Bill Scott

For the second straight night, a pair of  WIAA Girl’s Basketball Super Tuesday Games were delayed because of weather.  Nicolet-De Pere and Appleton East-Eau Claire North will be played on tonight, a day before the start of the state tournament and two days later than scheduled.

Nicolet and De Pere will meet at Oshkosh North High School tonight at 7:00.  That game was supposed to be played at UW Oshkosh.  Appleton East and Eau Claire North will meet at S.P.A.S.H this evening at 7:00 instead of the original site of UW Stevens Point.

The tonight’s winners will meet Friday night in Madison in the Division 1 State semifinals at 6:35.   The other semifinal is locked as Middleton and Pius XI each won on Tuesday.
