WIAA Girl’s Super Tuesday/Wednesday

March 23, 2011 By Bill Scott

The snow in the northern portion of the state was not kind to the first ever Division 1 Girl’s Super Tuesday with two games being moved to Wednesday night.

Appleton East (15-9) will take on Eau Claire North (23-2) at UW Stevens Point while De Pere (22-3) and Nicolet (23-2) will play at Oshkosh North.  The De Pere-Nicolet game was moved from UW Oshkosh to Oshkosh North because of scheduling conflicts.  Both games will tip at 7:00 PM.

Tuesday was still super for a pair of teams; Pius XI (25-1) picked up a 70-61 victory over Racine Case (22-3) while Middleton (25-1) notched a 61-59 win over Franklin (17-9).

Tonight’s winners will take the court in Madison Friday Night in the semifinals for a 6:35 tip. Pius and Middleton will follow somewhere around 8:30.
