Milwaukee Brewers right hander Yovani Gallardo continued his recent
struggles in yesterday’s 7-6, 10-inning loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Gallardo gave up 6-runs on 10 hits and couldn’t get out of the 6th inning. The Reds got four of those six runs off of Gallardo in the first inning when Joey Votto clubbed a 3-run home run.

Gallardo’s ERA has ballooned to 5.70, the highest among the Brewer starters. Manager Ron Roenicke said they’ll get to the bottom of this as soon as they can.

Drew Stubbs hit a 1-out, solo home run in the 10th inning off of Sergio Mitre to win it for the Reds. Former Brewer Francisco Cordero pitched the 10th to save it for the Reds. Aroldis Chapman earned the victory.
The Brewers are off today. They’ll open a 10-game road trip in Houston on Friday night.
