Kelsey named next Badger women’s coach (AUDIO)

Stanford assistant coach Bobbie Kelsey has been hired to replace Lisa Stone as head coach of the Wisconsin women’s basketball team.  Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez announced the hiring Monday.

Kelsey has been an assistant at Stanford the past four seasons.  The Cardinal went 137-14 during that stretch, advancing to the Final Four each year.  She also has plenty of experience as a player at Stanford.  Kelsey played on three Final Four teams, including Stanford’s 1992 championship team.  Now she’s talking about the Badgers and championships in the same sentence.
