Semenas leaves UW-Green Bay (AUDIO)

April 15, 2011 By Bill Scott

Laconia graduate Derek Semenas has decided to transfer from UW-Green Bay to Cardinal Stritch of the NAIA.  He’ll play for Stritch’s head coach Drew Diener and his top assistant Dick Diener.

Stritch head coach Drew Diener says, “Derek immediately makes us a threat to win our conference and compete at the National level.  His athleticism, skill and versatility make him a very tough cover.  He is also a high character guy, which makes him a perfect fit for our program.”

In 13 games last season, the redshirt freshman averaged 1.2 points a game at Green Bay.
