Brewers hoping to make hay at home

May 11, 2011 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers have won the last two games in a stretch in which the team plays 15 of 19 games at Miller Park.  The Brewers have played only 15 home games this season, tied for 3rd fewest in Major League Baseball.

As a team, the Brewers are hitting .304 at Miller Park, good for the highest home batting average in Major League Baseball.  In 21 road games, the Brewers are hitting .218.

Prince Fielder enters today’s game against the Padres (12:10pm) with 199 home runs, one short of 200 for his career.  Fielder currently ranks fifth on the all-time franchise home run list.  Robin Yount’s 251 leads the way.

The Brewers send Randy Wolf (3-3) to the mound in the series finale this afternoon against San Diego’s Tim Stauffer (0-1).
