Brown won’t return to Badgers backfield

Senior running back Zach Brown will not return to the Wisconsin football

team in 2011 and he’ll be exploring options to transfer.

Brown rushed for 568 yards on 119 carries as a true freshman in 2007, but his role and production diminished in 2008 and 2009 before he decided to redshirt last year.  Brown redshirted while John Clay, Montee Ball and James White combined to rush for more than 3,000 yards.

Brown is on pace to graduate from Wisconsin in August with a history degree.  According to NCAA rules, Brown could be eligible to play at another Division 1 school in the fall.
