Jennings is fair game?

May 23, 2011 By Bill Scott

Interesting chatter concerning Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings.  Checking CBSSports.com to see a story on Jennings.  The post referred to a quote in the Cleveland Plain Dealer indicating that the Bucks would be open to trading Jennings.

In his rookie season, Jennings was outstanding.  He was in the running for the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award.  Then came year number two.  Teams tightened down on Jennings defensively causing a dip in his shooting percentage.  Throw in the fact that Jennings suffered an ankle injury in December and his second season because a big struggle.

Jennings also lashed out at teammates and management and based on that, potentially burning some bridges.

If the Bucks were to deal Jennings, they have no real point guard alternative, which means they’d have to get a quality player back.  I’d be surprised if that scenario unfolded.  Look for Jennings to stay with the Bucks for at least one more season.
