Kelly qualifies for the British Open

Madison’s Jerry Kelly survived a six-man playoff to win an international

qualifier in Plano, Texas to land a spot in the 2011 British Open field.

The 44-year-old Kelly will be making his 11th start in the British Open.  His best finish was a tie for 26th in 2006. 

The qualifier was shortened from 36 to 18 holds because of thunderstorms.
