NCAA Divison 3 baseball regionals

May 20, 2011 By Bill Scott

All four Wisconsin teams remain alive heading to Day 3 of the NCAA Division 3 baseball regionals.

In the Midwest Regional, hosted by UW-Whitewater, the Warhawks are still playing in the winners bracket.  Whitewater beat Hamline 7-6 yesterday to improve to 2-0 in regional play.

Stevens Point is also in the Midwest Regional, but the Pointers stranded 14 base runners yesterday and fell to St. Scholastic 3-2.  That means the Pointers are a loss away from elimination.

In the Central Regional, both Carthage College and Ripon College are trying to make their way through losers bracket.  Carthage eliminated top seeded Coe College yesterday with a 5-3 win.

Ripon fell to Thomas More 5-3 and will face Illinois-Wesleyan in an elimination game today.
