Brewers blanked by the Cubs; Dempster

Ryan Dempster continued his dominance of the Milwaukee Brewers (38-29) as the Chicago Cubs (26-39) blank Milwaukee 1-0.

Dempster went 7-innings scattering 4-hits and striking out 7.  He did not factor in the decision but the start was still in line with his 15-3 career mark against Milwaukee.  Brewers Manager Ron Roenicke on why Dempster is so good against the Crew:

Jeff Samardzija earned the victory for the Cubs while Carlos Marmol notched save #13 on the season. 

Randy Wolf had a stellar start for the Crew to no avail.  He gave up no runs on 6-hits with 7-strike outs.  Wolf on his day…

Kameron Loe fell to 2-6 on the season as he gave up the games only run in the 8th inning. 

The Brewers and Cubs play game 2 of their 4 game series tonight at Wrigley Field.  Yovani Gallardo takes on Randy Wells.  First pitch is 7:05.
