Brewers Take Tough Loss

June 2, 2011 By Bill Scott

The Brewers looked like they were going to win their first series in Cincinnati since 2008 and then the wheels fell off.  The team had a 3-0 lead heading to the 7th inning but then Jay Bruce took starter Shaun Marcum deep for a two run shot and in the 8th Joey Votto sent a Kameron Loe pitch deep over the centerfield wall to give the Reds the 4-3 win.  Votto has owned Loe during during his career going 4-7 with 3 homers.  Rickie Weeks led of the game with a home run for the Brewers.  The Reds Francisco Cordero tallied his 300th career save with a perfect 9th. The Brewers take today off and will open up a three game weekend series in Miami against the Florida Marlins on Friday night.
