Brewers wait out rains and defeat the Cubs

The Milwaukee Brewers watched rain pound Wrigley Field for about an hour and forty-five minutes last night; then they pounded the Chicago Cubs 9-5.

Milwaukee lashed out for 14-hits on the evening as they hopped back into first place in the NL Central (St. Louis lost to Washington 10-0).  Rickie Weeks, Ryan Bran and Cory Hart each had 3-hits.  Manager Ron Roenicke on the offensive explosion…

Chris Narveson earned the win pitching 5 1/3 innings giving up 4-runs on 5-hits.  The two teams wrap up their 4-game series Thursday afternoon.  Zach Greinke takes on Matt Garza for a 1:20 first pitch.
