Brewers wrap up 2011 Draft

The Major League Baseball first year player draft wrapped up on Wednesday with the final 20 rounds.  The Milwaukee Brewers selected a total of 51 players in the 50 round process.

The only Wisconsin player selected by the Brewers is UW-Milwaukee right-handed pitcher Chad Pierce.  Pierce is a Fond du Lac native.  He went 6-4 with a 3.21 ERA in 15 starts for the Panthers this season.

The Brewers selected a total of 30 college players, 24 pitchers, 11 infielders, 8 catchers and 8 outfielders.
