Cubs clip the Brewers again

June 15, 2011 By Bill Scott

The Chicago Cubs (27-39) rally to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers (38-30) at Wrigley Field Tuesday night 5-4.

For the second starting night the Brewers waste a phenomenal start on the mound.  Yovani Gallardo went 7-innings giving up 1-run on 3-hits while fanning 10.  Gallardo then watched from the dugout as Marco Estrada gave up 3-runs in the 8th.  Gallardo isn’t pointing any fingers..

The offense wasn’t much better for the Crew. They went 2-for-16 with runners in scoring position on the evening.  That doesn’t sit well with Manager Ron Roenicke…

The Brewers and Cubs meet in game 3 of the 4 game series tonight.  Chris Narveson and Carlos Zambrano lock up for a 7:05 first pitch.
