The Milwaukee Brewers had dropped 6 of the last 8 games entering last nights game against Tampa Bay and needed their ace to step up and put out the fire. That’s exactly what Zach Greinke did.
Greinke allowed just 4-hits, struck out 10 and walked nobody as the Brewers beat the Rays 5-1. When it was time for the ace of the staff to step up and put on the brakes, Greinke delivered for the Brewers.

Greinke delivered his best outing of the season and improved to 7-2, moving the Brewers into 1st place in the National League Central, a half-game in front of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Yuniesky Betancourt homered in the second and Ryan Braun, returning from an illness, added a 2-run single in the seventh inning.
The Brewers improved to 26-10 at Miller Park and are the only team in the majors to have not lost back-to-back home games.
