WIAA Spring Sports Tournaments continue…

The WIAA State Baseball tournament wrapped up Thursday at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton.

In the Division 1 final Eau Claire North topped Neenah 11-1 in 6-innings.  The title was the schools first state championship in school history for ANY boys program.   In Division 2 Ripon topped Spooner 12-1 in 6-innings.  The Tigers claim the schools 3rd baseball title.

Winnebago Lutheran claimed the schools first ever baseball title with a 10-6 victory over Pardeeville in Division 3.  Catholic Central won their 5th title since 2003 in Division 4 with a 9-2 win over McDonnell Central in a rematch of last years title game.

The State Softball and Soccer tournaments opened up on Thursday.  In Softball it was the Division 1 quarterfinals and Division 2 semifinals.  Today the Division 1, 3 and 4 semifinals are on tap at Goodman Diamond in Madison.  You can read the softball results from yesterday or as they happen today HERE. 

As for Soccer, the Division 1 quarterfinals took place on Thursday.  All three divisions play there semifinals today at Uhilen Soccer Park in Milwaukee.  You can read the soccer results from yesterday or as they happen today HERE.
