The skies above Oshkosh will be busy this week, as EAA AirVenture begins its week-long run. Hundreds of planes from around the world are gathering in the area.
EAA spokesman Dick Knapinski says many of them will be part of the daily air shows starting Monday afternoon. Featured acts include aerial acrobatics, warbirds, and a night time display on July 30th.
Featured aircraft on display include the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the world’s largest zepplin.
Live music is also a big part of the event, with concerts scheduled from REO Speedwagon and Gary Sinese & the Lt. Dan Band.
Visitors to the show this year are also being reminded of major road construction in the area. The Department of Transportation says extensive reconstruction of US41 continues, which is the main route into Oshkosh. Drivers are urged to be patient and watch for road crews.
