Brewers Lose in SF

July 25, 2011 By Bill Scott

The San Francisco Giants edged the Brewers 2-1 on Sunday afternoon out West.  The pitchers dual was decided in the 4th inning when 3rd baseman Josh Wilson lost an Aubrey Huff popup in the sun.  That led to Huff scoring the go-ahead run on a Sac Fly.  Yovani Gallardo is the hard luck loser giving up just 2 runs and 6 hits in seven innings of work.  Madison Baumgarner got the win and Brian Wilson the save for the Giants. The Brewers take today off before opening up a three game set with the Cubs on Tuesday night at Miller Park.  Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis are now all tied for 1st place in the NL Central.
