Brewers Win

July 27, 2011 By Bill Scott

The Brewers took game one of their 3 game set with the Cubs 3-2.  Aramis Ramirez hit 2 run shot in the top of the first, but the Brewers rallied for three in the bottom half of the frame, highlighted by a 2 run triple by Casey McGehee.  Chris Narveson went five innings for the win.  K-Rod pitched a perfect 8th and John Axford threw a scoreless 9th for his 28th save of the season and tied Doug Jones’ franchise record with his 25th straight save.  The series continues tonight as Carlos Zambrano takes on Zack Greinke.  The first pitch at Miller Park is set for 7:10pm.
