Robbing the crib to cut cocaine

July 12, 2011 By WRN Contributor

Druggies are on the lookout for baby formula. “A lot of times it’s used to cut cocaine,” said Sergeant Gordy Disch is with the Dane County Gangs and Narcotics Task Force. “Other times it’s sold in the black market, just for what it is – baby formula.” Madison police nabbed three women at a grocery store last weekend, for trying to steal more than $600 worth of formula. “Basically what they do is, they mix a percentage of either the baby formula or the other cutting agent with an equal percentage of cocaine, or maybe greater, depending on how much they want to stretch the product and maybe double their profit.”
